You Must Meet Eligibility Requirements:
You must be at least 18 years old.
You must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Complete the Required Pre-Licensing Education:
Florida requires 63 hours of pre-licensing education from an approved real estate school.

Submit Fingerprints and Background Check:
Before taking the state exam, you need to submit fingerprints for a criminal background check. You can do this through a service provider approved by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR).
Pass the Florida Real Estate Sales Associate Exam:
Schedule your exam through Pearson VUE, the official testing provider for the DBPR.
Pass the State Exam
The exam consists of two parts: a national portion and a state-specific portion.
You must pass both sections with a score of at least 75%.

Activate Your License:
After the DBPR approves your application, you will receive your Florida real estate license.
To activate your license, you must find a sponsoring broker. Work under the supervision of a licensed broker, as all real estate agents in Florida must be affiliated with a broker.
Continuing Education:
Florida real estate agents are required to complete post-licensing education during their first renewal period.
After the initial renewal, you must complete 14 hours of continuing education every two years to maintain your license.
